Thanks so much for the article and the analysis. I too wish I had read this many years ago. It would have helped me deal with my inner demons and the “what’s wrong with me?” type self-analysis! Of course there’s nothing wrong with me, I’m F***ing Perfect. I’m not going to feel guilty about needing (as opposed to wanting) alone time, or preferring dinners to parties (I have, in fact, gone a long way to avoid parties -- I think New Zealand was the furthest) or being incapable of engaging in meaningless small talk with folk I’ll never see again. And yes, my intellect is superior to those around me (I notice you didn’t include that particular quote) and no I’m not “closed” -- I just choose to not share everything. Thanks love! I’m off to sit in companionable silence with my favourite introvert -- me.
