Red For Ruby

September 24th is Red for Ruby day.

If you haven’t chosen your outfit for Friday (or perhaps you are in the middle of the day and have only just remembered) please select something red.  It will help us remember those struggling with mental illness and show a unity through the wearing of this vibrant colour.

Red For Ruby day is a Facebook initiative.  2010 is the first time we have worn red as a mark of support to youth trapped within their minds.  Hopefully, the idea will gain momentum, continue to raise awareness and attention for victims and remind us to keep our brains as healthy as we like to keep our hearts, eyes, lungs.

Or, to seek help if that is what’s needed.

I wore red shoes all week.  Does that count?

Hey you.  Did you get sunburnt, hence the redness?  Hope it was fab and we have a need for catch up.

Don’t call me, I’ll call you (as they say in Queensland)  LOL  *hugs*

I’ve chosen a bold font because folk on the Gold Coast are bold.  They wear lots of high heels, bling and animal prints.  No sunburn -- it rained most of the time FFS (or that’s how it felt anyway!).  A bit on the tired side -- we kept up a frantic pace.  And now it’s an effort to leave the house!  Awaiting your call…

Great to hear you wore red for Ruby on the 24/9, Cassy.  Sorry to be no help whatsoever with the T.  It’s not mine, but it’s great, isn’t it.

I found it on google images, so maybe that might give you some ideas?
